Utilize The Power Of Surveys: Collect Valuable Feedback To Grow Your Food Business

Including My Favorite Go-to Survey Template For a Restaurant

If you run a restaurant or any culinary-based business, you would need to collect feedback from your customers on a regular basis.

Although face-to-face communication is the best form of feedback, if you are not utilizing digitalization then you are definitely missing out on collecting invaluable data that could transform your business.

One of the easiest forms of digitalized feedback is online surveys. Not only do they provide customized data that can spark small positive changes, but they are also easy, fast, and free to launch saving you both time and money.

My favorite free on-site survey software that I use to create customized surveys for my clients is Survey Monkey. Other great free alternatives include SurveySparrow, Google Forms, and Typeforms. The first two options provide in-depth analytics and tracking that will allow you to easily track and monitor the feedback given.

Here is a simple 9-questions survey template that I use for my clients that are specifically running an in-store food business. Feel free to customize and change the questions depending on your goals.

  • It’s a good idea to offer a small incentive to encourage the customer to fill in the survey till the end. In this case, my client was ready to offer a chance to receive two free meals at the restaurant through entering a competition.
