Using the Twos App for My Daily Note

I’m a regular Evernote and Todoist user. I love both apps SO MUCH and am always singing their praises. But recently I found the Twos App, a place to put “things,” and I’ve found it to be a welcome addition to my productivity stack.
I have made attempts at doing a Daily Note — I created a template in Evernote, but it had sync problems (I switch frequently from the web version to the mobile app a lot with my job) and it just didn’t quite hit my groove. Adding random “things” or information to Todoist and reviewing it later was okay, but I felt it was clunking up what should be my primary task management app.
Then I found Twos, an app for things. It defaults to a daily view, and I can quickly add in addresses, phone numbers, ideas, diary entries, and any other thoughts or things that I come across during the course of my day. I can create a list of “writing ideas” or “books to read” and move pertinent items to those lists. I can easily search the keywords and find whatever the thing is if I need it later.
I see Twos as a kind of funnel. Sometimes it’s just easier to quickly jot down a phrase or an idea and worry about cataloging or organizing it later. Twos holds temporary tasks and ideas for me when I just need them recorded, and when I have a little more time, I can move that task to Todoist, or embellish on the idea in Evernote. Or check it off in Twos for a small thing and move on with my day.
For those who enjoy Bullet Journaling, the Twos app offers that kind of idea of writing down bullets throughout the day. You can leave the thing as a bullet point, or change it to a dash or a check box to match your key or needs. If you’ve been wanting to bullet journal in a more digital way, this app is a good way to start.
I’ve only started using Twos in the last few weeks. I don’t use it every day, but I’ve been grateful for it when I have needed it. It opens to a readymade blank screen with the date on it, and that’s all I really need to feel some semblance of control. It’s a clean and easy-to-use app for those who need something simple.
