Using AI To Reimagine Marvel Superheroes In Cyberpunk

When the robot apocalypse happens, we are going to need superheroes to protect mankind, or what’s left of mankind.

For this little experiment, I used the the AI visual generator MidJourney to help reimagine what today’s popular Marvel superheroes would look like in the future. The future of course, being the dystopian world of cyberpunk, a sub-genre of science fiction that highlights advanced science and urban chaos.

After several prompt technique variations and multiple re-rolls, I started to hone in on the vibe I was looking for. I am happy with the results shown below.

Final Thoughts

AI visual generators are getting increasingly better at capturing the aura of expressiveness in a lot of these types of remixes. In this case the combination of two popular cultural trends — character and genre.
