Use Your Words to Heal our World

Inspiration from: Therapeutic Value of Writing by Dr. Mehmet Yildiz

The shallow part of the Sea at Rae Town Fishing Village in Jamaica by Annelise Lords

Writing is therapeutic for millions of writers, and in their quest to help heal themselves, they use the power of words to help to heal others too. For me, my writing takes me to my own world. And in that world, I have the power to heal the sick, eliminate hunger, hatred, pain, sadness, cruelty and all things that make our world a place many wants to get out of before their time.

Words are powerful, and they can be used as a weapon or a tool. As a weapon, words destroy the bad and save the good. As a tool, it can cure, alleviate, resuscitate, rebuild, reconcile, rejuvenate, restore, renew, renovate, repair and rehabilitate, etc., along with certain actions. Words do spur actions, and that’s when the healing begins.

But all of this action depends on the heart and soul of the writer.

Words sometimes save the lives of those who plan to commit suicide. So yes, words are powerful, and how it is said increases its power in a good or bad way.

Who said it, enhance’s it’s worth. So writers do have the power to heal.

On this platform, let us start healing. Use the power of words to make someone’s day better. To reduce someone’s sadness and put happiness in hearts, minds, and souls. (Yes, words are that powerful) Give someone a little more hope. Give kind ideas, thoughts, suggestions, etc., Use the power of words to heal our world. Starting now!

Thank you for reading this piece. I hope you enjoyed it.

This was inspired by Therapeutic Value of Writing by Dr. Mehmet Yildiz.

Thanks to Illumination for giving us the power to heal ourselves and others with positive and powerful words. I am honored to be a part of healing with words. (Isn’t that what therapists do?) Lol
