Use Your Senses And A Handshake To Hire Your Next Talent
A not so common hiring practise
Not one time I looked at the stack of testimonials to decide about the hiring of our next employee.

Too many geniuses have been school dropouts.
Too many A-class kids do not know how to be part of a team.
I am not saying that all best-in-class kids are bad. I am saying paper can’t speak and tell.
To our hiring managers I was known for one question only, “How was the handshake? Dead Fish or …?”
They knew my proposition.
Dig deep in the heart and mind of a hiring candidate to assure that character and mindset fit to our culture. We can easily teach them how to calculate that 1+1 is 2, but we can not change behaviours and mindsets in a persons lifetime. Anyway this is a mother’s and a father’s job.
You and me know very well, much can be seen from the body language and much can be felt from a simple handshake of a new candidate to hire.
A firm handshake reveals a lot about the energy in that person. We do not want a lame duck in our rows.
In the same way as paper does not tell, words do not tell much either. If you do not interpret the words in the context of facial and bodily expression you will fail a proper assessment.
Till today I am wondering how Google’s hiring algorithm always selects the right fit for it’s company.
The algorithm simply can not do the handshake qualification.
