“Use the Weekend to Build the Life You Want”
This quote should be what lights your fire.
It’s Friday night.
You’ve got your case of beer ready. Plans with friends are all set. Hours of Netflix lie ahead.
This is a common occurrence for most people nowadays. They work five days a week so they can relax for the next two.
Then the cycle continues and continues until it’s almost the end of your life and you’ve done the same thing for years and years.
Is this how you want your life to be? I don’t want mine to be this way. And I don’t think you do either.
Take this quote from many successful people:
“Use the weekend to build the life you want; not escape the life you have.”
Here’s how you can:
Figure Out How You Want to Live Your Life
Ask yourself these questions:
- Do you want to be a millionaire?
- Do you want to travel the world?
- Do you want to be able to do what you want?
In order to figure out the life you want to live, make a plan for it. Decide everything you want to do and make a list.
It could be a bucket list or a business plan. Either way, you’re already making progress this weekend.
It’s the first step toward the rest of your life.
When you make a list of everything you want to do, you’re already telling yourself that you can do this. You can make this happen.
You can make a better life for yourself.
Make Action to Live the Life You Want
Once you make your plan, the action begins.
All you have to do is take your first step. Here’s how:
Read one page of a book.
Do one small workout.
Save $1 and pocket change.
By doing these simple tasks, you’re already making your life better. It takes little steps but if you stay consistent and build like compound interest over time, then what you want out of life will be closer than you think.
Rejoice and Be Glad of the Life You Have
Once you have what you want, rejoice!
Be glad and keep going. Celebrate your hard work and do even more. Keep bettering your life as much as you can.
Before you know it, you’re going to live the life you want, not escape the one you hate anymore.
It all starts this weekend.
