Us Writers, It’s True. We Often Overanalyze Ourselves.
It may be crazy but it’s true.
I’m right there with ya.
So in reading other people’s amazing work I am thinking to myself,
“Who do you flippin’ think you are?”
“Who gives a shit about what I think or want to share?”
We do this shit to ourselves.
For my two first articles, I had FB buddies proofread them. Then I found Grammarly.
I bow down to Grammarly.
I learned of Medium because my son started writing here. Just gotta say, he’s brilliant.
I don’t know if this is allowed, but his name is Joe Duncan.
He for sure is not gonna be happy that I used his name, but I am a mom, after all.
In my quest to do well on Medium, I looked for shortcuts.
I am sure I am not the first. For example, taking an article and changing it enough to not be plagiarizing, and publish it.
I couldn’t do it. It felt dirty.
Slowly I started thinking my style was ok.
Still not 100% convinced, but it is growing on me.
I did find a link where you can type in a word, and the link below will give you big words to use.
