Updates to Accepting Essay Pieces As Responses to Prompts

TBIN Publication Update

I’m hearing loud and clear from writers that the prompts are working, and it’s getting your writing juices flowing beyond the word limits! TBIN currently accepts:

  • poetry (no word limit)
  • shortform (<150 words)
  • #OngoingAdventure fiction challenge
  • responses to prompts (no word limit)

My prompt schedule includes daily poetry prompts, weekly shortform prompts and monthly interview prompts — any of these can be taken in the direction of essay or listicle or nonfiction format if it fits the content you are presenting. I am now adding select writing prompts from time to time, if a question is really swirling in my mind! (example here).

This only applies to responses to any of the aforementioned prompts, so be sure to include in your piece which prompt(s) you are responding to (e.g., in the kicker, in your signature, or in the piece).
