Unveiling The Emotion Of Tears Of Joy
Dancing Elephants Prompt 41 of 52
There are several incidents in our life where we have tears of joy.
What do you associate tears with? Is it sadness? Truly when you lose a loved one you cry. Tears have the power of washing down the sadness and filling it with happiness.
If you begin to think, there may be many incidents in your life where you have experienced tears of joy just like I have experienced them.
Let me cite two examples of times that I experienced them.
#1. My daughter-in-law was taken to the hospital to deliver a child. It was by some providence that I was with her throughout the process. I spent two hours consoling her and suddenly the doctor felt she was ready and took her in for delivery.
I was waiting outside quietly while my son was inside with her. I was praying that all would be well.
The nurse came out and put the child in my lap. I had tears streaming down my eyes.
I had tears of joy! I don’t think I had cried like that for a long time. I am not easy on crying but there it was. I kept on smiling and tears were streaming down.
Tears of joy! What a powerful emotion!
#2. Another time my grandkid had fallen down and he was crying loudly. I took him to the doctor and he said all was well and there was no severe injury. He would be fine by the morning.
What a relief and I found I had tears of joy in my eyes.
One of the most famous cricket players in the world Sachin Tendulkar said
“Winning the World Cup is the proudest moment of my life. … I couldn’t control my tears of joy”.
Another interesting quote that resonated with me was by Wm. Paul Young
“Don’t ever discount the wonder of your tears. They can be healing waters and a stream of joy. Sometimes they are the best words the heart can speak”.
You could have tears of joy when
- Your baby begins to take its first steps
- Your son or daughter gets admission to the university of their choice.
- Your son or daughter is getting married and you are happy to be present there.
- You are able to win a competition that you never expected you would be able to win.
- You got a visa to a country you wanted to visit for a long time.
- You were able to get your dream job.
- You managed to do extremely well in your exams.
- You cooked a dish and everybody praised you for it.
- The plants that you planted were healthy and bore beautiful flowers and fruits.
As you can see the list is endless. Think creatively and find the happy tears to inspire you in your life.
You just have to remember and you will find many incidents in your life where unexpectantly your tears flow out unknowingly and you are joyful.
