Until I Become

Somebody else — A love poem

I remain standing in the wrong line with an unbeloved heart. Extending my hand further than I can reach. Too many years camouflaged in a dark room. The cost was more than the price. Thought I had a choice once or twice.

I will not stop acting like I have forgotten my blindfold. I will not stop wishing you are my reason to live. When the grace was washed off no attraction was lost. Please do not fall without me. Without you is something I can never do. I will not collapse, nor diminish with inner anguish. I will save my life as that is all I have to give.
