Recently, I interviewed one of the top writer on Medium. I found out different traits and habits they follow which new writers or unsuccessful writers must follow to grow on medium.

This trends include various topics in our day to day life. I am not actually comparing their writings from new writers or unsuccessful writers but, trying to actually see where they lack and have advantages. Take these topics as motivation and try to improve them rather than really comparing them with yourself and get demotivated.

Unsuccessful Writer, Don’t have a proper schedule to write articles. They write at any time of the day and don’t have any dedicated time slot. They think themselves as an occasional writer and expect to gain huge success posting a few articles per week.

Successful Writer, They have dedicated time slot in a day for writing. For example, they write every day at 6am to 9am or 5pm to 8pm. That’s the time they only write articles and focus on improving their writing skills day by day. It also doesn’t matter if they are full-time writers or not, they have specific time for writings.

Unsuccessful Writer, Never try to improve themselves. If the writer understands that he is weak in grammar, he should improve his grammatical skills. If he is weak in narrating his article, he should read more books from good writers and practice writing more and more.

Successful Writer, Always willing to improve their writing skills and techniques at any point of their life. They seek inspiration from their comments and always convert failure as tasks to improve in their writings and they also keep on experimenting on new topics and ideas from day to day life.

Unsuccessful Writer, Write for money and views only, no knowledge is obtained from their content. Articles seem dull due to lack of interests from the readers because of quality less content. Uses medium as their personal journal.

Successful Writer, They write quality content from which the readers are satisfied and readers can learn new things from reading their articles or at least improve their mindset after reading the article. Less focus on money and views, more focus on quality and readability is the main advantage for the successful writers.

I have tried writing this article as short as I can for maximum benefit for my readers. Do follow to read more such content.
