Unpopular Opinions | Prompt Times 9

A penny for your thoughts?

I enjoy having debates; I love discussing my differences, opinions, and thoughts on many things. I also love hearing other people's thoughts and knowing how they differ from mine. Thus, this week's topics will be about opinions; how enlightening!

This week's prompts

A book that you dislike but everyone likes

We have all been there: picking up a book because everyone around you likes it, only to be disappointed by it. Do you have a book in mind? Share it!

A book that is overhyped

Social media is especially powerful now; you can form communities, groups, and even societies on there. That being said, a book in a community can be marvelled to be amazing, jaw-dropping, spectacular — but when you eventually pick it up, you get disappointed by how overhyped it was. Do you know such a book? Share it!

A book that discusses controversial/taboo topics

I love banned books; it's forbidden, but everything that isn't allowed is the most enticing, isn't it? They're often banned because they were either discussing delicate, taboo topics that were deemed immoral, that many don't touch upon — but as Oscar Wilde says;

“There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written. That is all.”
