Unpopular Opinions: Latinos That Support Donald Trump Think That They Will Be Spared From Discrimination.
Sure they will let you ride with them, but in the end, those guns will be pointed at you as well!
Politics in Latin America is a very touchy subject to even talk about. When elections start people become polarized turning brother against brother and sister against sister. During elections blood boils, anger is in the air, and then street fights break out some ending in gunfire or riots.
For many of us who have seen or grew up watching those events unfold on Latin TV or in real life know that politics, if not careful, can get you pulled into something that may cost you your life or livelihood.
My Father would tell us stories about Francisco Franco the Fascist who was Dictator of Spain, and how Spain suffered under his rule. How it was rumored that he had his brother killed because of fear that his brother was going to take power from him. How he had very little food to eat and had to make his own way. How the police and spies were everywhere. Speak badly about Franco and you would either be taken away to jail or you would get the beat down of a lifetime.
Maybe because of these stories told to me about politics in other countries that I view American politicians with suspicion because here in America, I see politics going the way of violence much like they do in other parts of the world. To me, politicians like to sell you dreams both Democrat and Republican, and once they get in office the same game is played. Suck the Corporate Elite dick while at the same time fucking the working man and woman.
Which brings me to this question.
Why do so many Latinos support Donald Trump's views?
It amazes me every time I meet another Latino and he or she says that they support Trump and his views. When I try to ask questions as to why they do that they stumble and can’t explain why. But I get the same answers all the time.
Because immigrants are taking our jobs!
WHAT?? You do know that you are an immigrant as well! Hell, you are not even an American Citizen or even hold a Green Card, and yet you are supporting a man who wants to send all Latinos back to Latin America because to him and his group you are beneath them!
You probably took someone else’s job that needed it, so why are you blaming immigrants for this when in the Trumper’s eyes you are the enemy and will be dealt with the same way as the immigrants are but at a later date — for now, you serve a purpose.
Because you think you are the same color that you can ride with Trumpers.
Just because you are the same skin color as that con man and his cronies does not mean in their eyes that you are equal to them because you are not! Even if you are from Spain, a European country, they are still considered lower-level whites and not from the so-called “Nordic” race like these Aryans like to promote in their racist propaganda.
Sure they will let you ride with them for a bit only because you serve a purpose, but once that purpose has been satisfied, they will turn their hate over to you.
In Latin America, there is a lot of racism being practiced in many Latin countries. Don’t believe me? Look at Latin TV and you will notice many actors of European descent are all over the TV screen. Yet very few of the native people.
In real life, much of this racism has infiltrated Latin society preventing many who do not fit the mold to rise and become successful, which is why many Mexicans that come here tend to look darker and more native-looking and not white. Because they (darker Mexicans) are discriminated against in Mexico and are kept down by their system of government and society.
Knowing this why do we still tend to follow a con man like Trump knowing full well that he does not care for your well-being at all.
Because for many of us, we forgot where we came from! We forgot how dangerous it was to get to the promise land or we just were born here and forgot the story of our grandparents or parents coming here for a better life!
I know we Latinos want the best that America has to offer and so do I, but at risking your culture and your beliefs to follow some redhead dyed clown to some fantasy land he has sold you on is really stupid!
DON’T BE STUPID!
Do your due diligence and don’t fall for the glitz, glamour, and wordplay politicians like to sell you on. If it sounds too good to be true, then it's bullshit from the beginning.
Don’t blame immigrants if you do not have your life in order. Don’t blame other people because you cannot access better-paying jobs and cannot move up the ladder due to having outdated job skills or any job skills for that matter or do not try to learn English.
It's all about Capitalism! It's all about competition and being the best you can be! If you did that you will not have to worry about any immigrant taking your job because you put in the time and investment to at least be a better offer to an employer.

Use your mind my Latin family, if you know the politics in our countries are bullshit, the politics in America are not that much different.
