Unless You Jump, You’ll Never Know How It feels To Fly…Or Swim
Facing your fear/s and still act despite that oftentimes paralysing feeling
Living without ever taking any risk is a guarantee of a half lived life. The fear of taking risk being rooted in the fear of failure, not taking risk means you believe in failure. And most of us know that there’s no such thing as failure, only outcome, results and feedback.
Lately I have been discussing with friends and family about some major changes I am about to do in my current life (to be continued…) and some of my loved ones can’t help but express how not so “thoughtful” nor “rational” my decisions are. And I do understand their point but still I keep on holding on my convictions and aspirations. I often tell them: I don’t know where I’ll be soon jumping to, but I’ll still jump and hopefully I fall in a big ocean so I can still swim for a while. In the worst case scenario I will get life experience or a life lesson.
Sometimes in the course of our journey on this earth we get stuck and feel limited in what we can do or accomplish despite our desires, dreams and aspirations. But all that really matters is to be aware that we don’t need to know it all before we can get out there. There’s room for learning and improvements once you’re on the field. However, it is prudent to have a minimum of preparations for instance if you’d be tempted to jump from a helicopter you’ll need to make sure that you have the good physical health to do such activity, but you don’t need to have done it already before you can actually do it.
There is power as well in our intuition and inner voice, yes because we all have the inner voice, we just sometimes don’t manage to hear it because there is too much noises and distractions that do not allow us to hear it. So chill, relax, meditate and listen to your inner voice: follow your deeper path. We all have limited time on this earth and it is wasted if you dedicate most of it to other people’s desires for you. Own your life, own your path, listen to your inner gentle voice and just do it.
