Universal Messages
Let me share one with you.
I have always had a love for poetry. I find it breathtaking, creative, emotional, and it really speaks to my soul. Some poetry is even funny and brings me back to happy memories. There’s a little bit of everything for everybody.
Ironically, poetry is very challenging for me to write. I enjoy it and I think that it is fun, and it gets my creative thoughts going, but I always struggle quite a bit when trying to create a poem. Non-fiction writing to me is a lot more natural, it just flows, it is a part of me, but poetry and creative writing are something that I have to work on. I like a challenge and I like to step out of the box and use some creativity, so I was very excited when I read that Dr. Gabriella Korosi’s publication Dancing Elephants Press is hosting a poetry prompt.
In this prompt, we were given the subject of writing about universal messages. Either one that we would like to receive, have received, or messages that we want to send out to the world.
Poem
This is a message that I want to send out to you. It is one that I want to pass along because of its significance in life and because it has impacted my life tremendously. I hope that you enjoy:
I have come here today, there is a message that I need to say. I have struggled with repeated situations all my life, it seems like this journey is a bit of roll the dice.
When seeing things in life in repetition, we must pay close attention. This is an area of focus, a test, a sign, we need to reflect and align.
Situations kept appearing in my life, so much so that I didn’t think twice. I knew the Universe was giving me a sign, I was focused on everyone else’s life, but mine.
When trying to win what once had power, we mustn’t see life as a giant tower. Slow and steady, progress is key, each hurdle and roadblock will eventually set you free.
Reflection
I have seen countless situations in my life turn up over and over again. I felt that I could not win. I remember feeling defeated, lost, and angry. I wasn’t sure why I was in the same situation repeatedly. These repetitions were seen in my daily life regarding work and relationships. I kept noticing patterns within myself that I could not break.
It wasn’t until I sat down and did some reflecting, that I realized that life would keep presenting certain struggles to me until I learned how to handle them effectively. The Universe wants us to grow and learn, not be trapped in the same circumstances throughout our lives.
Thank You
I hope that you enjoyed my poem and that it could give you a sense of motivation and inspiration when it comes to addressing those situations or personal habits that you want to change and break. It feels so wonderful to take back the power that something once had over us.
Keep trying new ways to better yourself and your life. There is a way out, even when the path seems dark and long. A repeated sign is one to focus on and learn from, it deserves your attention!
