Unapologetically Continue Till The Green Bell Brings Hope In Life

Helping someone to come out of grief and see hope.

Should we help people to see hope in life?

Should you continue even if you keep on trying and failing?

What if other people think there is no hope and look down upon you?

I would answer in one go, Do not stop. Push Yourself and keep trying.

Do not apologize for your action.

Try your best.

A lack of feeling of hope in life.

A student in my MBA class was not at all interested in studying. He had no interest in anyone.

No friends, no study mates, no girlfriends.

He smiled rarely.

What happened? Nothing! No one was interested in knowing him.

I wanted to find out about him. All the other faculty members dissuaded me and said why are you taking interest in him? He is rude and rough and does not have any decency. Just forget about him. He is a gone case.

Should we forget about such people? My heart did not accept this at all.

There is hope and a feeling that you can try to bring some life into him.

The young man Avinash did not respond. I asked him if he had completed his assignment. He gave me a half-completed paper and left it on my table in my room.

Avinash did his mid-trimester exams and failed in my paper and was caught cheating in another.

This was disheartening. No green signal! Only red! Complaints every day from faculty members!

I called him to my office the next day and he was rather rude. Nevertheless, I spoke in a mellow voice and asked him about his family.

He was caught off guard. I did not ask him about his term paper. I asked him about his siblings and family members.

I saw a smile on his face as he narrated that his family was very well to do and he could not focus on anything. He did not want to join his father’s business and wanted to make a life of his own.

Since he was hopeless in his studies no one respected him.

The opening up of feelings and hope

Avinash’s next visit to my office was after a week. He had a notebook with him. I was surprised. He said that in my class he listened to some part of the discussions and he wanted to ask me what some financial management term meant.

I did explain that to him though they were very silly and basic things I kept my cool.

After another five days, I caught sight of him. He quietly slipped away. As luck would have it he had a flat tyre and he came back into the class while the tyre was being managed.

He met me in my office and we again spoke about his family. I could sense that he started having a connection with me but he did not want to come forward. In fact, he wanted to run away.

I had already started feeling close to him and shared a snack I had brought from home and he brought some coffee for both of us from the canteen.

He told me that he liked and respected me as I resembled his grandmother in actions. His grandmother was very active and smart and dressed well and loved people and he found that trait in me.

The green bell rings and brings love and hope to life

The next time when Avinash came he brought a book and notebook.

He told me that in high school a close friend of his had been crushed to death after which he never wanted to make friends.

I do not know the green bell was for him or for me. My purpose had been done. His grief had cleared.

He had started studying and completed his MBA.

He now has a business of his own. We meet as friends and I find him happy and contented.

I was unapologetic. I did not listen to anyone’s advice. I was keen to bring back hope in the life of a loner. I carried on continuously giving him my love and we succeeded in each of us getting a green signal. He was forced out of his condition of grief from a sad incident. His green bell brought him back to normality.
