Ukraine Has Launched Another Major Attack In Russia, Leaving A Lot Fighter Jets Destroyed.

After Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted military attacks within Russia, not much truly has changed. But this has changed everything, affecting Russian ability to wage war upon Ukraine and other nations, in the future.

It was months ago, when Ukraine begun targeting Russian oil plants, causing oil prices to surge globally. United States has even contacted Ukraine and asked them to stop, as the prices became high. It was then that Russia begun feeling a blow to its exports, as these attacks forced some of its oil refineries to close, as they were damaged and one was engulfed in flame. One of the main oil refineries in Russia were hit, showing significance.

Ukrainian military has also attacked multiple Russian airbases, mainly targeting Russian bombers, and other fighter jets, which are extremely costly for Russia to manufacture. Even though, Ukrainians failed at the previous attack targeting faster, more lethal bombers which can carry nuclear weapons, they still, however, have not stopped their operations.

I believe it is one thing to fight Russia in Ukraine, and the other to bring the war within Russia. Besides, that’s how wars are fought. One nation invades its enemy, then the enemy nation has full right to invade back, as war is declared, even though Putin hides behind his “special military operation” slogan.

A new target was hoped to be hit by Ukrainian armed forces, after long time of planning, they mounted up with an attack, targeting the source of the problem, and not just fighting the cause, as they are doing in Ukraine.

Large Russian military air base was struck with Ukrainian drones, all of this happened in Morozovsk, which is 82ish miles away from Ukrainian border, or roughly 132 kilometers.

Russia has deployed its fighter jets not that far from Ukrainian border, so that they can continue to conduct attacks, without sacrificing much time, and making sure they have enough fuel.

Ukrainians managed to destroy 6 Russian fighter jets, and left 8 other military purposed planes damaged. According to some individuals, this was the biggest successful drone attack by Ukrainian defenders. The losses Russia has experienced could even reach half a billion, if the damaged planes were badly hit, also.

As I saw the headlines, I was surprised. Because nobody has ever seen Ukraine dealing so much damage to Russian top prized fighter jets, who are recognized as bombers, via a mere drone attack. Leaving big quantities of these planes destroyed.

Russia is not the United States, they do not have a big air force that they can play with, and easily lose. Neither does Russia have a big fighter jet manufacturing plant, as the States do.

This incident will turn out to cost Russia a lot, as they have already nearly stopped using their fighter jets in Ukraine, the pace by which they used them in the beginning of the war, and now, has totally changed.

Ukrainian military has announced that the attack was a success. I kind of wonder if Russia even has air defense systems that it can spare, as the drones reached their destination, into a Russian owned military base, dealing bad damage.

Strangely enough, Russian ministry announced that no damage was recorded, only a substation was damaged. The 44 drones Ukraine launched the attack with, were reportedly shot down according to Russian ministry.

Luckily, trusting the claims of Russian authorities and their “truth” is usually not a good idea, as Russian officials were lying throughout the whole start of the war, as they are doing today. Videos emerged on Telegram channels depicting the attack on the Russian military base. Ukrainian politician, Anton Gerashchenko, shared the video.

It has been thought that Su-34 and Su-27 fighter jets were stationed in the airbase. Su-34s are regarded as being one of the best and most versatile fighter jets in the Russian arsenal. As they can carry bombs, but also engage in combat. The Su-34 is thought to be able to carry 4,000 kilograms, or 8,800lb.

Truthfully speaking, even Su-34s can carry nuclear weapons, if necessary. As the regular nuclear bombs don’t weigh much, and are suited to be dropped from ordinary fighter jets, who have capacity to carry bombs. For instance, a “simple” nuclear bomb can weight all the way from 270 kilograms and beyond.

The Su-27s, on the other hand, is designed strictly for air to air combat, but it can engage targets on the ground, as well. It entered into Russian military in 1985, and shares a lot in common with MiG type fighters.

By this attack, thanks to the Ukrainian military, not only Europe is safer from Russian threats, but Ukraine’s skies will be safer than they were before the attack. I noted before that Russia is losing the war in three different areas, on the ground, in the skies, and on the sea. The fact that Ukraine without a properly recognized air force, managed to destroy so many planes in the military base with using drones, says a lot about Russian military, in general.

Russia is already struggling to sustain their started war, these new losses of high price will definitely slow down the Russian started war in Ukraine. While there is some speculations about the effect of sanctions on Russia, they should, still, slow Russian production of military related goods. Even though, Russia supposedly overcame sanctions?

Via Russian Southern borders, countries and individuals are still importing and exporting goods. West cannot do all that much about this, as it would damage their relations with Kazakhstan, from which Russia is thought to be importing goods, despite sanctions.

Russian authorities pay Kazakhstan, and other nations, to buy certain supplies, and then Kazakhstan exports them to Russia, this is one of the ways Russia could be avoiding sanctions.
