Unfamiliar knowledge

A Free Verse Poem

Inhale,

Deep breath,

I’m in.

The swirling forest

Carried by waves upon the

Horizon beautiful,

Something wonderful,

To be seen is to be believed,

Opened mind, opened sight,

A revealing only shared

Upon accepting knowledge,

Given gladly, unconditionally,

For those of open mind,

Open heart, to let the Universe

And its mysteries in.

Dangerous to some,

Some who would fight

Instead of accepting the unfamiliar

Grace given as a gift,

To see it as a terror,

To lash out and destroy.

Never to be shared again,

For that time has flown.

To lose a part of themself,

A part of themself

Never to be recovered,

To be void of knowledge

Kindly given by the Universe itself.
