U.S. POLITICS | THE SENATE | GEORGIA SENATORIAL RUNOFFS JANUARY, 2021
An Open Letter to the Georgia Voting-Eligible People Who Supported Joe Biden
If Georgia returns the incumbent, Kelly Loeffler (R), to the Senate in the January runoff, it will have negated its Biden support and neutered the Biden presidency. Your vote for him will have been for and meant nothing.

The message is simple. In the Loeffler v. Warnock runoff in January 2021, vote for Raphael Warnock.
If Georgia returns Kelly Loeffler to the Senate, Biden’s agenda will be stillborn.
What a shame it would be for Georgia to have voted for a Biden presidency and then to be the one state to render it impotent to change anything by giving the Republicans a Senate majority.
In both Congresses in his second term, Barack Obama was saddled with Republican control of at least one house of Congress.
In the Congress in his second term’s first half (Jan. 2013–Jan. 2015), the 113th Congress, ● Democrats held the Senate (Dem. 53, Ind. 2, Repub. 45), but ● Republicans controlled the House (Dem. 201, Repub. 234).
In the Congress in the second half (Jan. 2015-Jan. 2017), the 114th Congress, Republicans controlled both chambers: ● the Senate (Dem. 44, Ind. 2, Repub. 54), and ● the House (Dem. 187, Repub. 246, Vacant 2).
Throughout his second term, Republicans denied President Obama any major legislative achievement despite its merit. They saw that as their path to a post-Obama return to power. See, e.g., The Victory of No | Politico (4 Dec. 2016, accessed 2020.11.16) and McConnell’s plan to halt Obama | Politico (20 Aug. 2014, accessed 2020.11.16).
If given a Senate majority again, Mitch McConnell will do precisely the same thing.
If you are a Georgia voting-eligible person who supports Biden, go to the polls in January. Vote for Warnock. If you don’t, you risk burdening the country with precisely that against which you voted when you voted for Biden.
I can’t make this a petition and invite you to sign it as an endorsement.
I can invite you to comment pro or con with or without remarks.
You needn’t be a Georgia voting-eligible person. Everyone is invited to express an opinion and vote Pro or Con on whether they agree.
Please, do not just clap. Take a moment to comment.
If you do comment, please make your first paragraph read either Pro or Con. In the next paragraph(s) state any comments, you may have. I will attempt to keep a running count and edit to update it daily.
