Two Races of Man

A quote from “Man’s Search for Meaning”

Speaking to a friend the other night who was having trouble with their young adult son being self-centered, and seeking help, I suggested two books for insights:

Jordan Peterson’s — “12 Rules for Life”

and

Viktor Frankl’s — “Man’s Search for Meaning”

Of the two Frankl’s offers more, shall we say, widely accepted wisdom.

I used this discussion with my friend to revisit my own revelations from “Man’s Search for Meaning” and came across a quote I had highlighted and find most relevant to today:

“…there are two races of men in this world, but only these two — the “race” of the decent man and the “race” of the indecent man”

— Excerpt From: Viktor E. Frankl & William J. Winslade. “Man’s Search for Meaning.”

If only it were that simple.

I pray that it is.
