Two Medium Months

My reflections on June.

This month started with a bit of frustration on my part. Medium stopped allowing me to earn money on my articles and it took me a week to realise why.

I hadn’t sent in a copy of my driving licence. How silly I felt when I found out.

I also still hadn’t had a single post curated and then suddenly several were curated at once, around the same time that I had provided my identification. It was as though I had been rewarded for checking that ID box.

My Statistics

This has been the busiest of months for me and I didn’t publish as many articles as I wanted to. I was too bogged down in writing reports for my full-time job. However, I am reasonably pleased with how much content I did publish and am extremely grateful for all of those supportive claps and comments along the way.

This piece that I wrote for The Daily Cuppa has been my most read so far. Many of its readers were from outside of Medium so it only made 57c but I loved seeing the comments and warm reception it was given.

I am happy to have gained a referred member and surprised to have managed $26.06 after having over a week with no earnings at all. My followers have exceeded my expectations and are currently at 842. Thank you all so much. That means the world to me.

So my target for next month has to be $35 in revenue and to pass 900 followers. I will definitely have fun trying.
