Part 2, Pray For Peace

Return to Part 1 Pray for peace. And while you’re at it pray for gasoline to return to .19 cents per gallon and .15 cent McDonalds’ Cheeseburgers to come back around if that’s what you’re into. Pray all you like, it ain’t going to happen, not now, not ever. Veggie Head Stalker knew it. What do you think the The Who were singing about when they sang, We Won’t Be Fooled Again — peace? Hardly.

“We’ll be fighting in the streets With our children at our feet And the morals that they worship will be gone And the men who spurred us on Sit in judgment of all wrong They decide and the shotgun sings the song…”

For decades I thought it was a war protest song. It wasn’t. What it was, was a simple statement of fact, reality, the way it was, the way it is, the way it will always be.

“…And the parting on the left Is now the parting on the right…”

It took me a lot of years but I finally figured it out.

“Then I’ll get on my knees and pray We don’t get fooled again Don’t get fooled again No, no! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Meet the new boss Same as the old boss”
