Try These Innovative Strategies to Unleash Your Creativity
Creativity is one of the most powerful tools available to us.

Creativity is one of the most powerful tools available to us. Many of the world’s greatest challenges have been solved by people using their creativity as their biggest strength. No matter how creative or “un-creative” you may think that you are, there’s always room for growth.
Everyone can enhance their creativity.
All you need is practice and patience. Think about what you could do with more creativity.
Elevate your creativity and find more effective solutions to life’s challenges with these nine strategies:

1. Surround yourself with creativity in your daily life.
Read great literary works. Visit art museums online. Try out a creative pursuit that you’ve always wanted to try.
2. Come up with at least three new ideas each day.
Great ideas are similar to hit songs. You usually have to come up with a lot of them to create a few hits.
3. Imagine what the most creative person you know would do.
Imagine what Marie Curie would do, or your creative sibling. Think about someone else’s approach to help you come up with your own.
4. Employ the right side of your brain.
The right side of your body is controlled by the left side of your brain. If you’re right-hand dominant, try writing with your left side or jumping on your left leg. Try not to use your right side for a few minutes. The right side of the brain is also stimulated by meditation.
5. Brainstorm ideas that you would offer to a co-worker or friend.
Take yourself out of the equation and imagine a friend in your situation. How would you coach them? What ideas would you have? You’ll find that this method helps ideas flow faster and you can uncover some of the greatest ideas this way.
6. Get moving.
Walking or any simple activity will work. Swimming laps, vacuuming the house, doing jumping jacks, or mowing the lawn are great examples. These simple activities keep your practical mind occupied, but the creative part of your brain is free to daydream. This can also be a useful time to brainstorm your daily three ideas.
7. Get a child’s opinion.
Children often have unencumbered brilliant ideas. Explaining the challenge might spark new ideas. Children often have out-of-the-box solutions, but their ideas can open up creative ways to think. Ask a child and listen to the answer.
8. Try to be creative in the morning and at night.
It’s the hours immediately after you wake up and just before you fall asleep that the greatest creative ideas are born. During those periods of time, your conscious mind isn’t fully awake and your ability to daydream, imagine, and think freely is enhanced. Try writing down a few ideas during these two crucial creative periods each day.
9. Release your judgment.
Judgment is one of the biggest hurdles to creativity. Judgment boxes you in and limits your creative power. Think about all the possibilities before eliminating any of them or making a decision.
Because we only use a fraction of our abilities, commit to these habits and you will increase the amount of creativity that you experience each day.
With great love and gratitude, Aurora
