I heard he spun a strong web I saw him spin the news and so I turned to watch him and listen for some clues and there he stood this old man, a deceiver on the screen

His talk was missing details The crowd roared their applause I stood and watched in wonder Questioning motives of his cause I prayed the facts would surface But realized his truth was theirs

He spoke like truth was present Filtering through the air Then his smirk drove the violence as he continued without a care His words kept on riling, Encouraging the rage to grow

He incited rage and fever He undermined democracy Prompting fear and anxiety Building conspiracy
