Trusted Seed Scholarship Application

We are committed to fostering a diverse community of aligned individuals with the knowledge, skills, and conviction to maintain Commons from an early stage. To protect the members of the Trusted Seed, we are underpinning our membership with a formal Swiss Association. To become a legal member of the Swiss Association, and activate your membership in the Trusted Seed you must pay 450 Dai in membership dues. If this amount of Dai would in any way cause you financial hardship, please apply for a Scholarship!

Before your scholarship will be accepted, you first have to apply to the Trusted Seed here.

And you can become a legal member of the Trusted Seed’s Swiss Association using the Swiss Membership DApp. You can apply for a Scholarship before or after activating your membership in the Trusted Seed.

How to Apply for a Scholarship

Set your Metamask to Rinkeby and select your Trusted Seed address.
Set up a profile on Giveth!
Go to Commons Stack’s Swiss Association’s Giveth Campaign.

Click “Create New” at the top

You are welcome to have fun with the Milestone creation process. There are a few requirements:

Your name must be in the title of the Scholarship application.
You must give your intentions for joining the Trusted Seed in the description of the Scholarship application.
You must request a specific amount of DAI, the max amount being 450 DAI
Most importantly, you must give us a FUN picture.

NOTE: You can activate your Trusted Seed membership before you have been approved for a scholarship and then the scholarship will reimburse you for the dues. We expect a 95% acceptance rate or higher on scholarships for anyone who already has CSTK tokens.

Step-by-Step How To Activate Your Trusted Seed Membership

If you haven’t already, apply to the Trusted Seed.
Once accepted, you will become registered on the xDai blockchain with a MaxTrust Score. This is a cap on the CSTK Score you can have relative to everyone else. The Score is underpinned by CSTK Tokens on xDai and to keep power distributed fairly and to Trusted members the MaxTrust Score limits each individual’s percentage of the total supply of CSTK. The most anyone can have is 10% of the total supply. This will be applied in the upcoming months, and many prominent members will have their CSTK Score burned to comply with that rule.
