Trust Your Intuition: Your Gut and Energetic Perception Don’t Lie

We’ve all likely been told at some point to trust our intuition. Keep listening to the call.

We’ve all also likely had those I-told-you-so moments, when either we ourselves have lamented or a peer has remarked to us, “See? I told you.” Of course, sometimes it takes a few times of learning the importance of trusting your intuition after the fact.

Some tips I have learned in the past:

  1. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
  2. If something seems off, trust that it is.
  3. If someone is sending you an unsolicited offer of help, do your research before blindly throwing money at someone. Most people are after their own economic gain, and their service may or may not truly serve you.
  4. If someone has shown themselves unworthy of your friendship/love/attention, trust that instinct. When people show you who they are, believe them. Don’t tolerate crap behavior.
  5. If you don’t feel good about a situation in advance, you can always cancel.
  6. Prevention is better than having to make amends / heal from trauma after the fact.
  7. Trust. Your. Intuition. Energy never lies.

Sometimes we have to learn the same lesson multiple times. It is a journey, and not a linear one, to learn to trust ourselves. The more I trust in and invest in myself, the more aligned I’ve become to myself and the greater my intuitive powers have become. People’s energies and behaviors matter more than their words. Ultimately, you need to be your own best advocate, do what you sense is right for you, and not feel bad about ignoring or turning down people whose interests you feel are not aligned with your own.
