What kind of idiot am I that thinks he can explain the unexplainable? What special powers do I have that grant me insight into the disturbed minds of the deplorable Trumpist?

Outside of my work in clinical psychiatry and neurology with those diagnosed with schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder, outside of my BA where I focused on political demographics, statistics, and mass media, I happen to be one of those lucky people who can count 1 non-Republican among my 25 closest family members.

That would be my dad. He’s an avid consumer of One American News, OAN, the network just to the right of Fox News. He has solidly voted the Republican party line for 28 years and listens to Michael Savage religiously. But he is a registered Independent because he considers himself open-minded enough to possibly consider voting for a non-Republican, like a Libertarian, should one appeal to him. He also thinks Barack Obama was born in Kenya. Surreal enough? Just wait, it gets wackier.

Yes, he and most of my family wear those red MAGA hats.

Observing the Trumpist in their natural habitat

Being the only non-white white person in my family, they usually feel comfortable to speak their minds freely in front of me without worry and without spin. I even have a Buddhist Republican cousin. Another cousin who does Reiki therapy, and a semi-lesbian step-sister. As you can see, they are a diverse group of people in some awkward ways, yet all are staunchly Republican.

Now, with my qualifications out of the way, I will attempt the impossible: to explain to rational, normal, sane people the inner workings of the mind of a Trump supporter. Relax and let go of your grip on reality for a moment and come with me as we drift into another world.

Revisionist history: Warning! Do not read on LSD

It’s a world where John Wayne is America’s greatest folk hero, God Bless America plays perpetually in the background across the prairies of Iowa, and Americans don’t take crap from nobody. It’s an America whose cities crumbled in 1976 when Jimmy Carter was in office, prompting real Americans to move to the suburbs, and they haven’t looked back since.

Since 1976, the urban inner-cities have been overrun with welfare queens popping out delinquent criminals with their husbands while they are on furlough from their lifetime prison sentences to come home and produce more delinquents so they can get even more money on their welfare check. This is the Democratic parties base.

It’s these communist atheists whose defining moment was leading an insurrection, a bloodless coup, seizing power from the real Americans in the United States and putting a Socialist Kenyan Muslim into the White House from 2009 to 2016. A tragedy that they will vigilantly guard against to make sure it never happens again.

This was a dark period (pun not originally intended) in American history. The Global elitist smug thinkers of Europe who have never worked a day in their lives got one step closer to enacting United Nations Agenda 21 and the hostile takeover of the last bastion of freedom on God’s green Earth, the United States of America.

Soon, skinny French people wearing berets would come for our God given guns and hamburgers taking away the average American family’s ability to defend and feed themselves. They would tell us who we could marry and who we couldn’t. They would decide for us if we could have children. They would teach our children to be homosexual in their state schools ensuring that their poor souls would be separated from us, their loving families, for eternity, condemned to everlasting Hellfire. All this happening with Jesus’ imminent return.

The lazy gangs of inner-city liberals who had only been a nuisance since 1980 when Saint Ronald Reagan was sent by God to smash them back down delaying Satan’s plan of world domination had popped out enough welfare babies and allowed in enough socialist foreigners to infiltrate the United States to become a serious threat to the American way of life.

With the installation of Barrack Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, as the UN’s socialist puppet and Manchurian candidate in the White House, soon Satan’s plan would be near completion.

It was only through prayer and a coalition of real Americans united against this common enemy that we were able to stop Barack Hussein Obama from enacting Satan’s agenda to dissolve the United States making our country prostate itself before the Globalists and the United Nations.

In 2016, the anti-American terrorist organization which calls itself the Democratic Party nominated the baby eating, murderous Satanist Queen of Hell herself, Hillary Rodham Clinton, anointing her as “the Chosen One” to further enact the globalist agenda.

We prayed to God almighty for a real American hero to save us from the wrath of Satan, and the hundreds of millions of deaths she would bring to the United States and the world through enforced population control and forced sterilization, like Hitler did to the Jews, to innocent young white American women.

A savior emerges. God’s anointed One

We have no recollection of Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, or any of the other candidates we originally supported besides our savior Donald Trump. Once it became obvious God has chosen Trump, we fell in line with God’s wishes and voted for him as if our eternal souls and the future of the United States depended on it, because we believe it does.

The lying liberals through their control of the media, except for Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News, tried to get us to stay home that November 2016. They tried to make us believe that the election of Jezebel was a sure thing.

They tried to make us believe God and the United States was a lost cause. They tried to make us believe that we would lose to manipulate us into staying home on election day.

God Almighty showed the liberals who’s really in charge when he delivered a miracle on election night, calling on Donald Trump to serve as the next President of the United States.

Since then God through Trump has held back the globalist Satanic liberal socialist UN agenda just as he did with his servant Saint Ronald Reagan. After all his mighty works for the United States and liberals still don’t believe in Him! They are fools!

That is why they put their faith in God and his support of Donald Trump, the greatest American President ever! (Definitely not enough exclamation points in this essay.)

Anything you hear outside of this truth is just Satanic liberal lies sent to sway you from God and the Christian Church.

With all these signs in place, why would anyone believe otherwise? Jesus is returning soon, probably within the lives of many of us. You don’t want to be caught on the outside of his ever-loving embrace when the Tribulation comes. Amen. God Bless Donald Trump and the Republican Party!

In conclusion, this is a never ending story

Whew. I’m not sure which relative I was channeling to write that. As you can see, it’s a whole worldview, a perspective incorporating past, present, and future.

I didn’t cover every angle, some parts vary based on age, indoctrination level, and strength of conviction.

If (and hopefully when) Donald Trump fails to win reelection, they will have to rewrite parts of their narrative again, just as they did when God chose him to be the Republican nominee instead of Rubio, Cruz, or any of those others. God knows best and His ways are a mystery to us, except when they are not.

This picture is never finished. They can go over it as necessary to touch up the spots which the Republican Trumpist congregation got wrong. They are very good at blacking out large swaths, forgetting they ever happened. My dad still claims Obama successfully confiscated his guns even though they are still sitting in the closet. Cognitive dissonance runs very deep in their pathology.

I think they aren’t sure what to do about Covid-19 yet. I haven’t talked to most of them for nearly a year, so I’m not sure what is rattling around in their minds regarding how to paint that scene in this Biblical epic.
