Trump is the Biggest Fluke in History
The Republicans elected, cheered, clapped, praised and to this day continue to approve this fluke

How can the greatest nation on earth allow the highest office in their land to be a complete fluke, disrupting world order, governments, global institutions, multi-national businesses and societies in general.
The night before the US presidential elections in November 2016, I remember tweeting this to my American friends and family:
Thank God Hilary Clinton will be America’s next president!
The whole world was in great disbelief. Many were mesmerised, taken aback. David Remnick captured the moment so succinctly in his article entitled ‘An American Tragedy’ published in the New Yorker on November 9, 2016.
But why should a non-American like me get so agitated by the turn of events in America?
Let me tell you why.
The majority of Filipinos have always looked up to America as an old reliable ally.
You were here fighting with us in 1898 against the Spaniards. We won that battle for our freedom only to be annexed by you a couple more years after that victory.
You were here again during World War II fighting with Filipino guerrillas against the brutal Japanese army. Your General Douglas MacArthur remains a folk hero to this day. We won that battle when the Japanese surrendered in 1946.
And yes, you were here again in 1986 when 2 million Filipinos staged a peaceful People Power Revolution against the cruel and corrupt dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos. Your role was to provide Marcos, his family and cronies a quick escape from the palace using a US helicopter and eventually transporting them to their exile in Hawaii.
There are 4 million Filipinos in America according to the 2018 US Census Bureau’s American Community Survey (ACS).
There are 150,000 Filipino nurses working in US hospitals, nearly close to the number of dead Americans due to Covid-19. These Filipinos are in your frontlines!
Over the past decade, America has been inviting Filipinos to teach in your schools and universities, a job many Americans have opted no longer to pursue, just like the nursing jobs.
The history of this Filipino love affair with America goes back to its annexation in 1899. Many Filipinos took advantage of the prospering Philippine-American relationship and migrated to Honolulu and California to work in agricultural farms.
Filipinos speak fluent English, thanks to the early American educational system in the country.
Millions of Filipinos are participants of this special relationship with America. If you conduct a survey among us asking which of these 2 great powers, America or China, we would prefer to have as an ally, hands down majority will choose America.
America would have been in a greater state of affairs today if only the Republican Party disqualified Trump from running for office in the first place. That is not to say that Trump was the only un-qualified candidate at that time. Other Republicans like Rubio, Cruz, Bush, Carson, Christie, Santorum and Hukabee wanted to be president too.
This fluke was totally preventable. Hilary Clinton was right when she said Trump is Putin’s puppet.
The responsible and decent Republicans like those involved in The Lincoln Project should shake up their party and rid its ranks of Trump clones.
These Trump clones allowed the most corrupt and unfit president to continue in office in 2019. They could have done the right thing and join the Democrats in removing him from office then.
Trump and his Republicans, they are the biggest flukes in history.
Majority of Americans and the citizens of the world will remember the years 2016 to 2020 when Trump and his Republican enablers disrupted the world not for good, but for evil. Detaining children in cages, corrupting foreign governments for political gain, aligning with dictators like Putin, misinforming, misrepresenting and misinterpreting Covid-19. Worst of all, tear-gassing a peaceful assembly of Americans for that now infamous photo opportunity of the century.
The greatest traitors of America today are Americans themselves.
David Remnick was right. What a tragedy!
Having said all that, God Bless America!
