Summary

President Trump has expressed dissatisfaction with Fox News for covering a speech by former President Obama, who was campaigning for Joe Biden, indicating Trump's expectation of favorable coverage from the network.

Abstract

President Trump has criticized Fox News for broadcasting a speech by his predecessor, Barack Obama, during Obama's campaign events for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. Trump's remarks reflect his frustration with the network, which he perceives as not being supportive enough, despite its conservative leanings and past favoritism towards him. He contrasted Fox's coverage with that of other news channels, which he typically attacks more harshly. Trump's comments included a reference to Roger Ailes, the late chairman and CEO of Fox News, implying that such coverage would not have occurred under Ailes' leadership. Ailes, known for his support for Trump and work with previous Republican presidents, resigned from Fox News amid sexual misconduct allegations and passed away in 2017. The article suggests that Trump's criticism of Fox News is part of a broader pattern of his behavior, which includes bullying tactics and a tendency to lash out at those he perceives as disloyal, including former friends and supporters. It also notes a shift in some Republicans' support away from Trump and towards Biden.

President Obama is campaigning for Joe Biden

Although most of the commentators on Fox News lean heavily to the conservative side and for Trump, they seem to try and report news fairly in some respects at least. It has been well known that Fox has been Trump’s favorite news outlet because they favor him. He does sometimes go after Fox although generally not with as much hatred and venom as he leashes on the other news channels.

The Hill had a report from Brett Samuels which said that Trump called Fox out for airing a speech from former President Barack Obama, who was campaigning for Joe Biden. Samuels had written this about and from Trump showing that Trump was upset at Fox:

President Trump bashed Fox News repeatedly on Tuesday, agitated that the network was airing a campaign speech from former President Obama.

“I only saw he was on Fox. And Fox puts him on all the time, and they put sleepy Joe on all the time,” Trump said of Obama’s speech before leaving for a rally in Michigan. “What they should do is they should show the picture of sleepy Joe yesterday when he rushed to Pennsylvania because he saw that I had 25,000 people at each event.”

“Fox, Fox is very disappointing. … This would not have happened with Roger Ailes, I can tell you that,” Trump added, referring to the former chairman of Fox News who resigned amid sexual misconduct allegations and died in 2017.

Roger Ailes had been a strong supporter of Trump. He served as the chairman and CEO of Fox News. He resigned in July 2016 ater allegations were made against him by twenty-three women. Ailes had been a media consultant for Republican Presidents, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George H. W. Bush. He also worked on Rudy Giuliani’s first campaign for Mayor of New York City. Ailes became an adviser to the Donald Trump campaign in 2016. He died at the age of seventy-seven on May 18, 2017. [Wikipedia]

Trump’s bullying tactics are used against his enemies but also with those who are generally considered his friends. He seems to be unable to help himself. He brags about himself, and he spews out hatred regularly. He cannot refrain from calling people names.

According to many of his former friends and supporters, Trump is not fit for office. Many Republicans are not supporting Trump and will vote for Biden.

Are you tired of hearing about Trump being angry at this person or that? Hopefully, he will be gone soon.

Politics is often very ugly. It is important to vote.
