Why the hell is there a special on KNIVES sold by a massive Trump megadonor’s company when we are on high-security alert?
I don’t understand why knives would go on special this week with heightened security concerns.
The moment I saw my email that was sent just after Trump was impeached for the second time, I thought, “Why are they promoting knives this week?” Then, when I researched Trump donors who could be behind the insurrection, the Uihlein family name (owner of Uline) came up.
I’ll let you decide if this is a coincidence or not, dear reader.
Here is the email I received on January 13th from Uline:
Either this is a really poor coincidence or someone is being really shady. No matter what — the optics look horrendous.
Last week on January 6th, we saw one of the most hideous moments in American history — the takeover of the United States Capitol by Trump-supporting right-wing extremists hell-bent on overturning the election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
What we are learning as the smoke is clearing, is how deep others’ involvement goes, regarding how the day manifested.
It is now being reported that there was a good deal of corporate financing and dark money behind the riot.

Remember: Last week’s uprising at the Capitol was not some spontaneous grassroots conflagration — ABC News reported that “President Donald Trump’s political apparatus worked behind the scenes with pro-Trump groups to plan and promote events in Washington, D.C., that ultimately led to Wednesday’s attack on Congress.”
Following that assault, Americans have been reminded that billionaires, lobbying organizations, and name-brand corporations have knowingly sponsored the politicians and groups that egged on the mayhem in hopes of overturning the national election — and a handful of those corporations have said that they will suspend political action committee (PAC) donations to individual lawmakers who tried to overturn the election.
Trump megadonor Richard Uihlein owns Uline — the massive shipping, office, and packaging supply company. Here Jacobin is linking Uline to the right-wing movement and Turning Point USA. The point is — there is a massive, colossal link between Uline and election disinformation. It’s not a far leap to say that it likely contributed to the insurrection at least in part, by providing Trump a platform to claim he won:
We already know that some corporations receiving government business are linked to those who finance the right-wing movement — for example, Uline receives government orders while its billionaire owner Richard Uihlein funds Turning Point USA, which provided Trump a platform to claim he won the election weeks before the insurrection.
Without an executive order, the public cannot know the full extent to which such contractors may be financing groups promoting political misinformation and fueling anti-democratic movements.
Now Uline is sending out special email blasts exclusively advertising their line of knives.
Why?
I pray for our country this week.
