Trickle Called…Life

There are two kinds of people, those who like rain and the ones who don’t. Actually a rain lover like me believes that second category only exists because of the troubles rain can cause. But nobody can really hate rain.
Just like watching sea and waves crashing against the shore, I can watch rain for hours. The otherwise loud and non-stop chatter in my head goes silent when I watch the rain or the waves. The droplets racing towards the ground, swayed by the wind and finally the splash they make when they hit the ground. I can imagine the fragrance of the freshly wet soil by just closing my eyes. It’s a different pleasure to see the trees and leaves soaking in specially after the hot summer.
Water and life, two sides of a coin. No wonder, mankind is looking for the planets or other extra terrestrial bodies that may support water. Right from the tiny trickle to the energetic waterfall to the serene expanse of a river approaching the sea, each of its forms has a different beauty and magic unmatched by anything man has tried to create. In each situation, it assumes a different personality, and yet retaining its purpose of nurturing life.
There was a saying in the Kids movie, “Frozen”, that water can store memories. Fantastical it may seem, but isn’t it true that water is really ageless. As I catch the raindrops in my palms, or wet my feet in the flowing stream, I can’t help but be humbled by this constant on earth. We are just the latest addition in the series of creatures that it has seen and touched everyday for… eternity.
