Trees Speak To You
Nature prompt: Third Week Prompt Of Nature ~ A Haiku Series
The trees sing their songs Only for those who take time To open their hearts
They teach us to grow Ever upward, touching sky Roots firmly planted
Trees are life’s markers To trails we blaze anew Providing shelter
Follow me, tree says Magnify your consciousness Extend your branches
Every day, weather permitting, I walk in the park near me. These walks are not just physical exercise, but spiritual ones as well. The photos above were taken there. The trees and I have become quite close. I tell them stories and they in turn share theirs with me. The breeze dances with their leaves as the birds sing in harmony. The squirrels playfully race up and down and round and round on their magnificent trunks. Walnuts can be found on the ground for any creature to feed upon. Humans seem to be the main customers.
This was inspired by Sahil Patel’s prompt. Thank you, Sahil.
