Gratitude Exercise
Travelling Through Timelines With Gratitude
Raising The Frequency Of The Past, Present & Future
We spend our time on this earth in three different timelines. The past, through our memories, the present with our mindfulness, and the future in our imagination.
Since we spend time in each these timelines, why not take the opportunity to infuse them with gratitude?
Gratitude is one of the highest vibrations we can exude. It’s right up there with love and happiness.
When we express the emotion of gratitude we raise our vibrations to meet the high vibrations of the Universe, our higher power.
When we experience lower vibrations, such as anger, hate and resentment, we are nowhere near the high level of vibrations the Universe is experiencing.
Think of it like a radio. We are simply tuned to the wrong channel.
The Universe vibrates at high frequencies, such a love and gratitude. When we vibrate ourselves with these emotions, we’re matching the vibrations of our higher power.
This enables us to use that power to our advantage, to get the kind of life we want.
So let’s look at the three different timelines and how we can use them to express our gratitude.
The Past
Remember a time or an event in the past that lifts your spirits. Something that makes you smile. Something that fills your heart with joy.
I bet there’s lots of things that make you happy.
Was it the birth of a child?
The day you graduated?
Getting your first job?
I have lots of days I can choose from. One which always fills me with gratitude is my wedding day.

I’m a Canadian living in the UK, so many of our guests flew across the ocean to attend our wedding.
Can you even imagine how grateful I feel for that? It absolutely makes me beam with appreciation for my friends and family.
Pick an event that does that for you and spend a few minutes there.
You can choose to remember the past any way you want to. You can reframe anything that has happened to you. This exercise is simple in comparison. It just requires you to look at a past event, as it was, and feel grateful for it.
The Present
Engage with the 3D reality in front of you. Practice grateful mindfulness by looking around you at what you see, and counting your blessings.
What are you even reading this story on? A phone? A laptop? Using the internet, right? Be grateful for those things!
Do you have a roof over your head? ✅
Do you have a bed to sleep in? ✅
Are you safe? ✅
Do you have friends and family who love and care for you? ✅
Far too often we take what we have for granted. We get used to having it, and forget that we’re blessed.
Be deliberate in your searching for good things. Raise your vibrations in the here and now for what you already have. Those things that bring you comfort, joy and security.
You’ve got loads to be grateful for, right now.
The Future
This is the fun part. Pre-pave your future by feeling gratitude for what is yet to come.
Feel grateful for that future money in your bank.
Feel grateful for that tropical holiday you’ll be taking.
Feel grateful for that child you’ll be welcoming into your life.
Feeling gratitude for future events is telling the Universe what you expect to receive.
And we get what we expect.
Don’t worry about how it will happen. That’s not your job. That’s the job of the Universe.
Just swim in the blissful appreciation of it coming to you. That’s it. That’s your job.
Remove “Yeah, but…” from your thoughts. Say to the Universe “that part’s up to you.”
Surrender to the Universe and let it work it’s magic.
Gratitude is a powerful emotion and when we learn how to use it regularly, in any timeline, we tune in to the frequency of the Universe which helps us attract the joyful experiences we wish to have.
It only takes a few minutes of your day to do this, but it’s so powerful. I encourage all who read this to do themselves a favour, and find gratitude in your life, past, present and future.
