Travel

And why I love it

It’s hard to say what it is that makes it so addictive. I can’t imagine another way to live right now. This is a dream come true. And to be honest, with Covid, it’s more of a blessing. I can move around a little. I’m still exploring new territory, but apart from the big C-19 — travel means I get to live. I live in a wonderland. If my inner-child gets bored I can take her away to new places. She loves it and it’s ok for me too. I must find work, meet the locals, expand my knowledge, and ponder on my tomorrows. Slowly, one by one I invite my loved ones to join me. They get a glimpse of my wonderland, but they never really understand the deep joy I have. It’s not a simple thing that comes about overnight, although to the outsider it looks as though no battles were fought and won. It’s not a journey for the very young as it requires a bit of training. I have been blessed with this season of freedom & exploration. Travel is my way of life. It gets easier to adapt as time goes by. Yes, that little fear remains, reminding me that joy comes at a price. And it takes courage every time. Not sure when it will end, but not yet, I’m not ready to give up my traveling yet.
