Poem
She keeps seeing this dream
He carries a basket of figs She empties a beercan He tosses a frisbee to a dog She answers the phone He decamps in New Hampshire She checks into a hotel
He writes on stationary She cancels on her therapist He runs for an additional hour She pastes feelings on lamps He rearranges liquor bottles
She replaces a flat tire He gets a razor waiting in line She defrosts a chicken and a cake He asks Can I do anything She says Is there anything else
They return from the farm They park in the driveway square
He lets the cat and dog out She goes for a walk He says it’s getting chilly again She doesn’t have to say a word He leans forward to turn on a light She bends backward and backward
They read Women in Love aloud They take turns, and turn on their sides
