Top 3 Tips If You Are Writing For Money

And Writing a LOT Is Not One of Them.

Tip #1: Just Don’t!

There is a huge difference between writing and expecting a return, and writing for the sake of writing. If you are writing for money, your thought process will be directed to finding what attracts the reader. But If you are writing for the love it, your ideas will flow passively without any resistance. And this is what will help you grow.

Tip #2: You won’t make money.

Steve Jobs famously said in 1996: “Picasso had a saying — ‘good artists copy; great artists steal’

If you are looking to copy what attract readers, you’ll end up repeating the same topics and ideas everyone else is writing. Before you know it, you’ll lose your genuineness. Sorry, but I don’t think that quote applies to Writing.

Tip #3: You’ll stop Writing.

To earn from Writing, you would need an insane amount of time, effort and ideas. Despite what all the fancy Medium Frontpage articles tell you, It is not something that you will grow overnight. And on the short term run, If you don’t see your expected return, you’ll just leave it out of frustration.

If you are writing, you should love writing, as in, you would see the beauty of making well-structured sentences, decent grammar, tiding up your ideas to make a beautiful flow. If you can’t see this beauty, don’t waste your time.
