2. Have a different vision for the future and challenge conventional wisdom.
Most people think that Elon Musk is crazy.
But he has a different vision for the future. He wants to live in Mars and he wants people to use electric cars. He cares about the environment and he is funny.
If you want to live a creative life, be prepare to be misunderstood.
People will hate you for no reason and that’s okay.

3. Find people who shares your vision.
You can’t please everyone and that’s okay.
As a Digital Writer, I’ve learned that you cannot write for everyone if you want to create a powerful message. The best leaders look for people who share their vision. Discipline is more important than talent.
Having a cult of followers is better than none.
4. Create new leaders to build your legacy.
Most leaders have mentors.
For example, Warren Buffett mentored Bill Gates. Tim Groover helped Michael Jordan won NBA championships. Having a mentor will help you improve your weaknesses.
There is a reason sports have different coaches.
5. Read great books to improve your mind.
Reading books will improve your thinking skills.
For example, Bill Gates, Former CEO of Microsoft, recommends a lot of great books on his YouTube channel. If you want to learn from different experts, read new books. They have experience and they can save you time.
You need to feed your mind to have a healthy life.
6. Learn how to write to share your ideas and become a Thought Leader.
Contrary to popular belief, good writing can be learned.
For example, Lee Child, New York Times Best-Selling Author of Jack Reacher Series, started writing in his 40’s. Writing is one of the best ways to share your knowledge and expertise. If you know how to write well, you can change the world with your ideas. Most people won’t share your beliefs and that’s okay.
As Chuck Palahniuk once said, “Write to remembered rather than to be liked.”
7. Serve your own tribe.
Leadership is an act of service.
There are many types of leaders. There are school leaders, business leaders, and thought leaders. School leaders work with students and business leaders lead different businesses. But Thought Leaders are known for their ideas.
Helping other people will guarantee your success.
8. Lead by example and have a great character.
The best leaders have a great character.
They are selfless and they want to create a great legacy. There is a reason why billionaires love to donate their money to different charities. They want to remembered once they die.
If you don’t know how to lead yourself, forget about leading other people.
9. Develop a healthy mindset.
Mindset can make or break your career.
Leaders know how to teach themselves. They are creative and they love to work with successful people. Having a positive mindset will help you find the good side of your team.
Having a great mindset will accelerate your career.
10. Invest your time in learning new skills.
Great leaders know the value of self-education.
This is why most of them love the concept of mastermind groups. For example, writers love to join writing workshops. And leaders love to talk to interesting people. They understand the value of great ideas.
