Too Ambitious…
Part 1
ever since he was a little child
his small curious mind used to run wild,
you couldn’t tame that beast,
he wanted to be best!
none the less he had no legacy
he didn’t want to establish his supremacy
but he craved power just like you and me,
which is only natural, the only difference is we repressed it and he just let it be,
to him, it was more than an ecstasy
he wanted to be a part of something big
he was innocent of all vices but guilty of one,
he was captivated by that huge big large door in his dreams
which was leading to a hall…the hall of fame
with inscribed shiny golden names,
names of the people who had bribed the time,
and enslaved history with their dominant tribe,
their everlasting name was something he wanted!
unlike the useless relic of Ozymandias, he wanted to fight the good fight with time
all he wanted was his name on the wall of the halls of fame,
he wanted everyone to remember his name,
and wanted the world to light onto his flame
Oh! that’s it.
That was the blame of that crazy child
he was too ambitious for a juvenile
little did he know he would be in a self-imposed exile for that little while,
that ambition would pile against his soul,
he would beguile others but not his ghoul.
