Toilet Paper Anxiety
I’m down to 3 rolls and already anxious

I bought about a month’s worth of toilet paper RIGHT before we started having supply issues. Last night, I put up my third-to-last-roll, and I immediately became anxious.
I’ve been going to the store about every 7–10 days because I can’t afford to buy a month’s worth of groceries at once. However, a trip to and through the store sounds increasingly risky, so I thought I would try to get groceries through pickup or delivery this time.
I usually shop at Walmart, because they generally have the lowest prices (and also happen to be closest to where I live). The location closest to me doesn’t offer delivery, and they had no pickup times available today or tomorrow, and they wouldn’t schedule a pickup farther out than that. If I get on first thing tomorrow morning, I MIGHT get lucky enough to grab a pickup time for the next day.
A local chain called Randall’s was next on my list. They offer delivery, but, as you can see from the photo above, they don’t have any toilet paper (at least not on the website).
Kroger was my next choice. Their next available pickup date is Sunday. Today is Monday. My toilet paper MIGHT last that long, but I would have to count on Kroger having it in stock. I would be screwed if I planned my pickup and got no toilet paper.
My final local option was Target. They could deliver as soon as today and had plenty of toilet paper holders, and MAYBE some wipes, but no toilet paper.

So that means I HAVE to go inside the store for my next shop. I’m trying to finish up work tonight (plus it’s been raining on and off today), so I plan on going tomorrow morning. I’ll start with Walmart and hope that I can get everything I need in one stop.
The CDC is now recommending that people wear cloth face coverings when they go out in public. I seem to have tossed the hairy mask I wore when I was dog grooming, so the best I can do is to tie a strip of random purple fabric around my head.
I’m not looking forward to hunting down toilet paper tomorrow. Ironically, I’m doing OK on food groceries, but for all I know, it could take days to score toilet paper, so I need to go out sooner rather than later.
If any of you stocked up on a year’s worth of toilet paper, I hate you right now. I hope you stocked up because you’re in a high-risk group and not because you’re a jerk. Because you made things much harder for those of us who can’t afford to stock up.
