Today’s vacuum Debacle

It’s been a long while since I wrote a vacuum story.
So here goes:
Since one of my hobbies is vacuuming, I decided to clean out one of our rooms, as it had been a while, and then vacuum it!
And it didn’t take too long. Mission accomplished! That was so easy and then I moved on down the hallway vacuuming all the way and went on into our bedroom. That’s when I heard that famous squealing sound.
Something was stuck in the vacuum, and it wasn’t a GOOD something.
So, I flipped over the vacuum until it was laying upside down and I saw what appeared to have been a really long strand of macrame floss that was used to make bracelets in the 1970's.
It was quite colorful (see above), and I have no idea how long it had been wrapped around the beater bar of this particular vacuum. I think this vacuum might only be a year old. And I am not at all into Macrame!
That is when I remembered the story that I had written a while ago about the time that I vacuumed up the SpongeBob book cover.
That was back when I had the other very powerful vacuum cleaner.
That vacuum debacle led to us getting this current newer vacuum.
I rescued SpongeBob and do still have that SpongeBob book cover. I noticed it the other day laying in the bookshelf. I’m waiting for just the right book to cover with it.
It’s hard for me to toss it out as it has such good memories of days gone by still attached to it. It was my sons book cover in school for many years and then when he outgrew it, I took it over and used it to cover my NLT translation Bible that I used when I was in the Moms in Touch prayer group. Like I said, good memories attached.

Am I the only one that has these issues with their vacuum? Or maybe it's just that I am the only one that writes about them.
Perhaps that’s it.
Leave me a note and let me know if you too have had vacuum debacles.
Thanks!
Lu
