Today it’s my 34th birthday.

The last year was a rollercoaster of emotions that changed my life forever.

I’m grateful for the beautiful and terrible events I lived in.

Wish me the best and read what I experienced

1/ Family

My daughter’s first day at the nursery and a newborn

Emma, the eldest daughter, started to frequent school.

In September 2021, she started at the nursery.

It was strange to see her go.

But my wife lost this moment because she was hospitalized when pregnant in the 7th month:

Maria was born in October.

But in September, in her 7th month, my wife risked giving birth.

After a month in bed, Maria was born.

“Your daughter has lung cancer”

We lived the worst day in our life: The newborn was diagnosed with cancer.

She was only four weeks old.

We brought her to a specialized hospital for children’s disease. Due to COVID restrictions, I was not allowed to stay with my wife on the way to the hospital. My wife was alone with my daughter.

I stayed in the parking, thinking I would not see her anymore.

Luckily, it was a terrible mistake.

The doctors had done the exams wrong.

So I had time again to focus more on my mother’s illness.

My mother’s illness

At 58, my mother was diagnosed with MSA.

MSA is a degenerative pathology, as a fast Parkinson. We were told she has a life expectancy within 5 years.

I try to exploit every moment, looking for experimental cures.

But she’s alive for now, and we found by far more life in this situation than how we expected.

We decided to move together. We will do this in 2022.

2/ Job and learning

In the last year, I started to write online.

It was a journey that started far away.

As a CEO, we completed the transformation in our family business that led me to open up new opportunities.

We recovered 2M€ of loss in our business.

And we did with terrific people we activated. I was proud of the level of delegation I reached.

It’s incredible.

Although being a 60M $ business CEO, I have time to explore.

A new Side Hustle: results to come.

In 2021 I started to work as a CEO for hire to create scalable bootstraps.

Also, I found a niche in the concept of the People Garden to cultivate talent from parenting to entrepreneurs.

I owe a lot to the serendipity network.

How?

Participating in Cohort-Based-Courses

It all started when I did Building a Second Brain 13 in October.

Yes, I did it right when my newborn arrived.

It opened an incredible new world of opportunity.

I understood the importance of being a creator instead of a consumer.

In January 2022, I published 30 atomic essays in a row in the Ship 30 for Challenge.

And I started writing on Medium with a new community by Evan Kelly.

Join me and the others in Publish & Profit.

3/ Health improvement.

During my Miraculous October, I lost 12 kg of fat mass, reaching a BMI of 21.

And without spending a cent in Gym:

I did:

  • An analytical Mediterranean diet
  • Run under 7 mins per mile in half marathon
  • I started Calisthenics at home with this pull-up bar

Wrap-up

My 33rd year was a rollercoaster:

• Recovered 2M € loss in the family business • Started a side hustle • Did incredible courses • I had a second daughter, and I almost lost her • My mum was diagnosed with MSA • I lost 12 kg of fat mass

And I discovered my niche.
