Today I Woke up to Speak.
But I was silent instead.

Today I woke up to speak But I was silent instead So many words Waltzing a fine dance In my head Never demanding to be said
Spinnings of words Electric lessons From words spoken The burn Words not spoken They churn
Words have power Words have matter They can shatter If thrown In a clatter
Energy of words Seasons the habitats We reside Shades the worlds Where we collide
How do we speak The unspoken How do we speak words When they become broken
If we don’t speak Can we ever be heard Or does the situation Then become Bleak
And does our inside Spring a leak Because we don’t share What we seek
And what if we choose silence instead Will our words bleed Through our need To plant a seed So that everyone Will agree
Do we forget to observe Does everything said Have a sound Sometimes silence speaks The most And some words only Boast
But sometimes nothing Replaces The need For words Either spoken Or heard
