Today I Was Reminded Again How Blessed I Am
A Wake-Up Call For You
In the morning, while making breakfast, I accidentally cut my finger. It was just a small scratch.
Naturally, my first response was to stop the bleeding, so I pressed my finger.
Suddenly, I felt something was wrong.
Everything started to blur for a while. I quickly switched off the gas, grabbed some water, and sat on my kitchen floor. After taking a few sips of water, my body felt tired, and I almost fainted.
I couldn’t understand what was happening as I sat on the floor for about 4 to 5 minutes. My body felt strange, my eyes were shutting, and I couldn’t see anything.
Eventually, I regained consciousness, stood up, went to my living room, closed my eyes, and took a short nap.
I have a problem sensing blood, and I recalled a past incident at a blood donation camp where I collapsed at the sight and smell of blood.
Today’s experience made me realize how our bodies function properly, giving signals when we’re tired or when something is wrong.
The slightest change in our bodies can impact our overall health.
Upon regaining consciousness, I reflected on how ungrateful we can be towards our bodies, which are true assets.
We need to take care of them by:
- Eating healthy
- Exercising
- Drinking water
- Being grateful
Many people around us are battling significant health issues, and I have deep respect and prayers for their strength.
In my own family, some members are facing health issues, like my aunt with kidney failure requiring weekly dialysis. It’s not easy for the family, but it serves as a reminder to be grateful every day.
So, today was a wake-up call to prioritize our health.
Let’s stop engaging in unhealthy habits:
- Stop eating too much junk
- Stop compromising your sleep
- Stop drinking excessively
- Stop stressing too much
When I say stop stressing you would say, it is easier said than done.
Yeah, I know that but in the end, we must cultivate a mindset to stop stressing about little things.
I believe in God, trusting that He will provide the best I deserve. So, stop stressing about:
- Things that you can’t handle
- Future uncertainties
- Other people’s opinions
- Negative self-talk
- Fear of failure
We all have the power to take actions that benefit our bodies.
Take care of yourself, your body needs your healthy actions, and you have the power to change it.
Smile, it looks good on you.
