Today I touched the stars
A poem
It reminded me of the first time
When I touched your lips with mine,
Trembling on the children’s slide
And fighting with my butterflies,
That moment of shock, that reckless feeling,
That freedom of heart…
Everything I had in my mind till now
You attached them a meaning.
So when I saw the stars I let them know
That all they could teach me
I have already learned from another soul.
I have learned about the three sisters that always stay in line,
I have learned about universe, the distance and time,
I have already known about their light that comes to us from past,
I know about the planets, the gravity and mass.
Some I knew from the books, and some from a girl
Who first time made me see stars
Without having to look up to the skies,
And in the matter of seconds I knew all the world’s wonders,
She opened my eyes, and the world dropped its covers.
With only one kiss she made me feel wild,
And in no time there was only her, and nothing else in my mind.
So today when I touched the stars I got the same feeling
The shock, the excitement, suddenly everything had a meaning,
But if only stars knew that despite their beauty
My heart belongs to the girl who makes me feel like in a movie.

The starry sky in Ishigakijima (island in Japan) made my heart beat faster, and it reminded me of the time when I fell in love.
