To Those Who See The Sun At Midnight

The first time I heard this, I had just joined the Rosicrucian Order and I was excited in anticipation of all the mystical and weird stuff I was about to learn. I had heard of invisibility and so much more so when I came across, “To those who see the sun at midnight”, I was like “Whoaa😮!! How cool is that?”
You can imagine why I, an esoteric knowledge enthusiast would find such a cryptic line enticing. The sun doesn’t come out at midnight so how can a person see it? And are you suggesting there are people who already do it? Why would a person want to learn such a skill? The questions in my head were insane.
One day, I went to the temple early and attempted to sneak into the library in search of stuff I hadn’t been taught yet. I was immediately redirected to the section with the ‘children’ stuff like “self-healing” and “aura detection”. I wanted to know how to see the sun at midnight — and it wasn’t even a Rosicrucian quote but I somehow felt the answers would be found there.
The Parable
The first thing I discovered years after that whole thing was that the quote which I took literally, was a Parable. Of course, there is no Sun at midnight or at least we can’t see it. However, that didn’t deemphasize the depth of the quote. It still had profound meaning and I was itching to find out what it was. I went on Google and surprise surprise…Nothing! There was a bunch of stuff but I knew they were not what I was looking for. Damn!!!
The Double Entendre
Not only is that line a parable, but it is also a double entendre and that is a classic move by the people with the knowledge. It means one thing for the 'unaware' and another thing to the 'woke’ and get this; it makes sense both ways. So while I was online seeing that there are places that have 24 hours of sunlight at sometimes in the year, I knew that was not what I was looking for. So I kept searching. What the hell does it mean to see the sun at midnight? And why is there so much respect for those who can do it?
It’s darkest before dawn
And the cycle repeats. Life is the way it is and there are always ups and downs. It’s not always 'Amazing' and 'Sunny’, there are times we are thrown some darkness in order to test our character ( at least thinking of it that way helps me sleep better). As we go through these tests, you could say we are passing through a dark tunnel and we hope there is light at the end of it. Do you see where I’m going with this?
Conclusion
Our ability to ‘keep our head up' in trying times is crucial in the process of turning situations around. These low moments seem to suck all the good feelings and it takes a special and trained mind to be hopeful in these times. That’s a skill which, while necessary, very few bother to gain.
Being hopeful is not denial. Of course, you should be fully aware of anything happening to you and feel the gravity of it. However, it is encouraging to understand that we are not here by coincidence and every experience is there to teach us a valuable lesson; to learn the lesson, we must see it for what it is: a test.
Seeing the sun at midnight is a superpower which you need no cape to have. If you have learned the skill to be calm under pressure, If you can see the light at the end of the tunnel in your mind’s eye, even while at the deepest parts of the tunnel, if you’ve learned to visualize success in the midst of failure, then they were talking about you.
So here’s to those who see the sun at midnight.
