Hello, Death — Halloween’s over, you’ve won, you’ve dominated, you’ve overstayed.

It’s time for even you to rest, to let Hope speak again.

Let’s do what it takes to keep everyone safe, to not let the years before the silent, distanced twenties become blurred memories, b.c. (before Covid).

In this quiet chaos where there’s nothing to hear but an internal clash, a yearn to connect but values and loved ones to protect,

we are left in quiet solitude to reflect.

What do we want for 2021?

This week’s piece is inspired by 3 poems, including All I need, sometimes by Denise G, Blur by Jenny Justice and I never much cared for Halloween by Dennett.
