To My Husband
A Sonnet

Bearded laughter makes me feel warm inside, where my heart of love grows for you each day. With you, I am me, I don’t want to hide, “I LOVE ALEX!” to everyone I say.
God brought you to me, certain as sunrise, He brought me to you, certain as the night, for the kind of love we have never dies, in darkest places it brings hopeful light.
Sing for me, Love, your voice is poetry, refreshing, true, it calmly stills my soul. Beyond, alongside, we will learn to see, that with one another we are made whole.
My love, my love, now hearken to my voice, Love, my love, let forever be our choice.
