To My Grandmother
I wrote this poem when she was still alive
She is no longer worried about what others may say All that she thinks about are new games to play The children are always active, and she has to plan ahead Tiring them is the goal, so they will easily go to bed.
She seems to be all-knowing, for she always has an answer She speaks like a poet and is always full of laughter She never thinks twice. She knows no panic Even though she is firm, she is always dynamic
She laughs, and she cries; she expresses her emotions When it comes to her feelings, she never takes any precautions She knows what she wants and does not look back Still, she is always caring. And love she never lacks.
