To Illuminate, or Abominate?

That Is The Question!

For many years,

She sought to write.

Of many battles,

She had fought.

Blank pages begged to be filled.

Her muse was often thrilled.

She wanted to tell her story,

but the truth is often gory

Instead she decided to prevaricate,

Not to worry,

She won’t exaggerate.

The demons scream within her mind,

Leaving her in a bind.

Aching to be set free.

Yearning for a bit of glee.

If she dies before she wakes,

It will be your soul she takes!

A warm thank you to P.G. Barnett, for getting the rhyming gears grinding again. And to Holly Jahangiri, for the prompt prevaricate. I consider myself to be quite familiar with many words, but this was a challenge indeed.

As I was playing around with words at 2:00 am, I came across some words I thought would be intriguing to see what our fellow writers (and ladies, to be PC) would come up with.

Pedantic, monochromatic, postulate… Pick one or use them all and pretty please tag me when your’re done.

Caroline de Braganza , you were right! Postulate, it is. ☺
