To Grab Medium Story Ideas Out Of Thin Air Is Possible
Consider an easier approach to writing
Do you struggle for ideas?
Is it difficult coming up with new subjects for your content?
If you answered yes to either of those two questions, then you are officially a writer and you could use a few tips.
Just like others on Medium, there are days when I just stare at the wall and hope that a good idea will land on my brain. It’s not supposed to be like that, of course, but good content takes effort and sometimes my brain is just weary.
What about you?
I’m wondering if I’m the only one who wonders what the next day will bring in terms of content creation and writing stories.
My conclusion is that maybe I have been going at things the wrong way. You see, when I’m in need of something to write about, I often find my brain racing through suggestions on my head and cancelling out the ones I don’t like.
I think a better process is just to wait for the ideas to come to me. Doesn’t that sound easier? I think it does.
Being Patient
I think one of the best personality qualities is just regular patience.
That’s right.
Being patient as a writer can be very rewarding but it can also test you on a regular basis. All you have to do is wait for new ideas and story suggestions to come to you mentally when they are ready for you.
Don’t rush and force things. Just relax and soon enough a great story idea will present itself and all will be fine.
I’ve learned that great content is worth waiting for. Plus, it usually performs a lot better than stories that seem forced or contrived in a hurry.
So this weekend I am going to try my own advice. I will relax and let new content suggestions come to me naturally, out of thin air, and I will go with this process and see what happens. Maybe things will work out better than I anticipate. We will find out one way or another.
